International workshop „Cohesion Policy for economic development in financial slowdown”, organized by Managing Department for Competitiveness and Innovation Programmes in the Ministry of Regional Development was held on 25th-26th June 2009 in Warsaw.
The aim of the international conference was to exchange experience between European Union’s representatives who are involved in the implementation of the European Funds in the field of:

measures to further enhance instruments supporting entrepreneurs development during economic slowdown,
-
activity to increase the level of EU structural funds disbursement.
During common and parallel sessions of the workshops the following issues were presented:

practical aspects of the European Economic Recovery Plan,
-
anti-crisis activity of the Ministry of Regional Development,
-
innovative policies,
-
State aid,
-
alternative methods of financing entrepreneurs’ activity,
-
instruments supporting cooperation between entrepreneurs and scientists.
Panel devoted to the Cohesion Policy after 2013 was the complement of above-mentioned topics. Among the attendees of the workshops, apart from Poland, nine countries were represented – Portugal, Hungary, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Great Britain, Germany, The Netherlands and the European Commission delegation.
